L.A. trainer Tracy Effinger that blends yoga with dance.
The good news here? Even low-impact shape-ups create
muscle, which in turn stokes your metabolism. After a
workout, "you're like an incinerator," says Effinger. "You
feel your body is using the food you put into it." So take
heart: If going to the gym is not your thing, hiking,
stretching, even a brisk 15-minute walk at lunch will rev
things up.
